Sleeper Teams in the NFC

Every year, there are teams out there in the NFL being slept on. A few weeks ago, we looked at 1 team in every division in the AFC that are being slept on, and that’s exactly what we’re doing today for the NFC. So speaking if it, let’s get to it.

Atlanta Falcons:

There’s no really strong sleeper team in the NFC South. The Buccaneers aren’t very good, the Panthers have a weak offensive line and secondary, and the Saints seem to be the favorite to win the division. So that’s why I have the Falcons as my sleeper team; not a lot of people are expecting them to win the division. The Falcons are more than capable of winning the division. They are offensively the best team in that division. With a combo of Julio Jones, Mohamed Sanu, and Calvin Ridley can be deadly. Put that in with a run random with Devontae Freeman and Tevin Coleman, with Matt Ryan leading the team, they will be dangerous. Don’t be surprised if they are one of the best teams in the NFL this year.
Dallas Cowboys:

There is so much drama surrounding this team, people forget how good they are. There was that Ezekiel Elliot situation last year, but he’s a top 3 running back in this league, like him or not. When he is in, Dak Prescott plays much better. Cowboys also have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. Cowboys also have a defense that is underrated. A linebacker tandem of Sean Lee and Leighton Vander Esch will be fun to watch. It seems that no one is giving the Cowboys a chance to win the division, but they are more than capable to win their division.

Arizona Cardinals:

While the Cardinals are not the most exciting team in the league, they deserve more recognition than what they are receiving. Sam Bradford or Rosen starting, it’s a complete upgrade from last year. Bradford-when healthy-can be a solid quarterback. They are getting David Johnson back, who was missing all of last year. Just having him back will be a crucial part of their offense. Larry Fitzgerald will be old reliable for them. While their defense is far from being great, if players like Haason Reddick and Budda Baker can take that next step, their defense can be solid.

Chicago Bears:

The Bears are one of the most slept on teams in the NFL. Mitch Trubisky flashed quite a bit last year, but he needs to take that step. He has all the tools this year to take that step this year. They added Allen Robinson, Cam Meredith, and drafted Anthony Miller. Jordan Howard is also extremely underrated. He can take a lot of pressure off of Trubisky. Bears also drafted offensive lineman James Daniels to boost their line. Don’t sleep on the Bears offense this year, has potential to be really good. Obviously the Bears made noise with the Khalil Mack just a couple weeks ago. That sets their defensive as a really good defense. Before they traded, their defense wasn’t looking sharp. But their defense suddenly got a whole ton better. This Bears team will be real fun to watch this year.
