The AFC East Could Be Very Different, and Competitive, In 2019

The 2018 NFL off-season has been nothing short of interesting, and we’re only one week into it. As of now, the only thing teams are allowed to do is fire, interview, and hire coaches.

It was reported on Thursday that the Miami Dolphins will pursue a trade for Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh. The possibility of a Harbaugh-to-Miami trade creates a very interesting scenario regarding the potential future of the AFC East division.

With the New York Jets interested in hiring and having interviewed former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, the Harbaugh trade scenario combined with a potential McCarthy hiring in New York, would add two elite coaches to a division that has been dominated by the New England Patriots for nearly two decades.

With Sean McDermott in Buffalo and Bill Belichick in New England already, adding two coaches with over 100 career wins and a Super Bowl championship is exactly what this division needed, solely based on the competition we would get to enjoy every year as NFL fans.
