Rams Vs Patriots Super Bowl Preview

It seems like every year the New England Patriots make it to the Super Bowl, doesn’t it? Well, their dynasty hasn’t crumbled yet. They’ll face the Los Angeles Rams on February 3rd for Super Bowl 53! Can the Jared Goff lead Rams defeat the Patriots? Or can the Tom Brady lead Patriots win their 6th Super Bowl?

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams took the league by storm and had a 13-3 record, which put them in 1st place in the NFC West. At times during the season, however, the Rams looked shaky and made a lot of people question their toughness & how far into the playoffs they could last. Well, they’ve made it to the Super Bowl, now they just have to hang with the Patriots for 4 quarters & keep a fast tempo throughout the game. During the Championship game vs the New Orleans Saints, the Rams played a tough hard fought game, and even though the refs were questionable for both teams, came out of the game with a win. The Rams defense will have to find a way to stop the Patriots talented backfield, and of course Tom Brady. Rob Gronkowski will be a huge factor in this game & at times will be tough for the defense to handle.

The Rams will have to step up the tempo and play smarter & faster football than the Patriots for 3 hours. If they can keep up with the Patriots & play smart football, I believe that the Rams have a good chance at defeating the Patriots.

New England Patriots

The Patriots played a great game vs the Kansas City Chiefs during the Championship round, winning by a score of 37-31 in overtime. Tom Brady totaled 348 yards, 1 TD, and 2 INTs in that game. The player that really stood out to me, however, was Sony Michel. He totaled 113 yards & 2 TDs, and helped to create a great rushing attack for the Patriots. The Patriots will look to rebound in this years Super Bowl after suffering a tough loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last year, and could possibly use that game as motivation for this year. The Patriots had a great season as well, finishing the season with a record of 11-5, good enough to finish 1st in the AFC East. The Patriots will need to find a way to stop the likes of Aaron Donald & Ndamokung Suh from rushing the QB, and will also need to figure out how to pass against Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib, and LaMarcus Joyner.

The Patriots will look to build off their hot streak and continue to succeed in the playoffs. If the Patriots can play with a spark under them, there’s no reason why they couldn’t win this game. They will just need to game plan to stop the Rams great duo of CJ Anderson & Todd Gurley. Gurley, arguably the best RB in the league will be tough to stop if he can get started & get healed up in time for the game.

The Super Bowl will be played on February 3rd at 6;30 EST.
