Q&A With Jazz Ferguson

I recently had the chance to interview Northwestern State WR Jazz Ferguson. Ferguson transferred from LSU after his sophomore season before he was suspended for violation of team rules.

Q: What are your expectations for yourself this season?
A: My expectations for this year is to be included in the rookie of the year voting.

Q: Did you have a favorite player growing up?
A: I idolized Calvin Johnson growing up.

Q: What is the best part of being a football player?
The best part about being a football player is the fans and playing for them. Got your back through the thick and thin!

What do you think you will want to do after football?
A: I will want to own my own auto-mechanic shop.

Q: What’s one motto/quote you live by?
A: Sky is the limit.

Q: How important are player/quote relationships during the season/off-season?
A: Very important for both during the season and off-season. Coaches know during the season at what times you can flourish, having confidence! As well as the things you need to work on before the season rolls back around during the off-season.

Q: What’s the first thing you’ll buy with your first NFL contract?
A: I’ll buy my mom a house!

Ferguson totaled 1,117 yards and 13 TDs on 66 receptions during the 2018 season.
