Buffalo Bills Offseason To-Do List

With the Buffalo Bills being eliminated from the playoffs, the offseason begins for the team. With $82.3M in cap space along with 9 draft picks this offseason, the Bills will have plenty of ammunition to work with.

Bills Free Agents

DT Jordan Phillips, OL Spencer Long, CB Kevin Johnson, RB Frank Gore, DE Shaq Lawson, OL Quinton Spain, OL LaAdrian Waddle, LB Julian Stanford, LB Maurice Alexander, FS Kurt Coleman, DT Corey Liuget, RB Senorise Perry, WR Isaiah McKenzie, Safety Dean Marlowe, TE Jason Croom, WR Robert Foster, CB Levi Wallace.

The team should make re-signing Shaq Lawson, Kevin Johnson, Quinton Spain, and Isaiah McKenzie their priorities.

Players that may be on the out with Buffalo

Tyler Kroft. Kroft signed a 3 year/$18.7M contract with the team last off-season, but has sadly fallen short of expectations. Releasing Kroft would add an additional $3.2M cap space.

Lee Smith. Buffalo signed Smith to a 3 year/$9M contract to be their leader & blocking TE. However, he has seemed to fall short of fans’ expectations. Releasing Smith with a pre-June 1st exemption would create $1.2M cap space.

Outside Free Agents the Bills should target

WR Breshad Perriman. The Bills could use a big body receiver desperately, and without giving up top dollar for one, Perriman would be their guy. Perriman totaled 645 yards & 6 TDs over the course of the regular season, with much of his production coming in the end of the season.

LB Sean Lee. The Bills are down another leader on defense after Lorenzo Alexander retired. Lee would contribute in big ways both on the field & off the field. Lee totaled 86 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 INT in a limited role behind Leighton Vander Esch.

CB Trae Waynes. The Bills are in need of a talented CB2 after a lackluster performance outside of star CB Tre White. Waynes would be an upgrade next to White. Waynes totaled 58 tackles & 1 INT last season.

OT George Fant. Buffalo could use more depth at the OL position. Fant would prove to be very good depth behind Dion Dawkins.

Buffalo owns the 22nd pick, with needs at both WR & Outside LB. The team can go anywhere with this pick, but most of the fan base would love Tee Higgins from Clemson.
