Josh Norman: Top Landing Spots

Former All-Pro CB Josh Norman was released on Friday by the Washington Redskins. This comes as no surprise, as he struggled to start the season and was eventually benched. Norman was in the last year of his 5 year, $75M deal he signed back in 2016.

This saves the Redskins $12.5M against the cap.

Now with Norman being a free agent, the main question is: Where is he going to sign next?

Here are a few options:

Buffalo Bills- Norman had his best season under Sean McDermott, and he could possibly reunite with him. Buffalo needs depth at corner, and the familiarity between McDermott and Norman makes this a possibility.

Philadelphia Eagles- The Philadelphia Eagles have a notorious history of signing players that are past their primes, and Norman fits that build. With their lack of consistent healthy bodies at CB, Norman can be what Orlando Scandrick was last season. He might not last the entire season, but it could definitely be a pit stop.

Denver Broncos- With the expected departure of Chris Harris Jr, the Broncos could go sign Norman at a discounted rate. The former All-Pro corner could even fight for a starter role in Denver and be the placeholder/depth option for when Denver finds their long term solution.

Dark Horse: Carolina Panthers- James Bradberry is a free agent, and he could be on the move to another organization, so they’ll need a possible replacement. With Norman’s initial hope for a lifelong tenure to Carolina, he could take a discounted rate to return home, as always said he wanted to remain in Carolina for his entire career.
