NFC East: Rest of Way Predictions

The NFC East is horrible. There is no other way to put it. Somewhere in the rulebook, it says one team must go to the playoffs from each division. Yeah, maybe the creators of that rule are questioning it right about now.

I believe no team should come out of this division. But, I’m not the league’s commissioner, so I do not get to make that decision. So, to make up for it, I’m going to project every team’s final games to crown a division champion who will likely have a losing record. How horrible is that?

Dallas Cowboys (3-8)

It's about mental health: How the Cowboys are trying to cope after a brutal emotional rollercoaster

@ Ravens LOSS

@ Bengals WIN

VS 49ers LOSS

VS Eagles LOSS

@ Giants LOSS

Predicted Final Record: (4-12)

I have the Cowboys losing to the Ravens, whether or not Baltimore has all their players or not. Dallas is looking too sloppy for me to pick them against a complete or incomplete team. The Bengals is a winnable game in my eyes. Their QB situation is a lot worse than the Cowboys, so I’ll give Dallas the win. The 49ers are an interesting team, but they are healing up, so I’ll give them the win. At this point of the season, I think it will come down to the Giants and Eagles battling it out for the division title. Both teams will come out firing on all cylinders to clinch a playoff spot, so I think that motivation will carry both Philly and New York to wins.

New York Giants (4-7)

New York Giants vs Cincinnati Bengals Prediction, Game Preview

@ Seahawks WIN

VS Cardinals LOSS

VS Browns LOSS

@ Ravens LOSS

VS Cowboys WIN

Predicted Final Record: (6-10)

Call me crazy all you want for giving the Giants the win over Seattle, but hear me out. Seattle’s offense looked dry against an Eagle’s team who is horrible. Yes, Metcalf caught ten balls for 177 yards, and Wilson threw for over 200 yards, but the Giant’s defense is sneakily good. Now, this all remains in the balance. If Daniel Joens does not play, then the Seahawks will win. We still don’t know how long or if Jones will be out at all. I am assuming since reports came out that he avoided a severe injury, that he will suit up for Sunday’s game. So, give me Giants victory there. The Cardinals, you don’t know which version you’re going to get from them, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt because there is more talent on that roster. Nick Chubb is back and Baker looks better without Odell, so I like the Browns in this one. I don’t think they can match up with Baltimore and the Cowboys look like they are preparing for significant changes in the offseason, so the G-Men get the win there to finish 6-10.

Philadelphia Eagles (3-7-1)

Carson Wentz: What do the Philadelphia Eagles do with their struggling starting quarterback? | NFL News | Sky Sports

@ Packers LOSS

VS Saints LOSS

@ Cardinals LOSS

@ Cowboys WIN

VS Washington WIN

Predicted Final Record: (5-10-1)

Well, they had the lead, and now they don’t. Unfortunately for the Eagles, their schedule doesn’t provide much help for them either. They have two challenging games against Green Bay and New Orleans, which will most likely be losses. Then the birds have to travel to the desert to take on the Cardinals and their high-flying offense. Here is another loss for the Eagles, and I think right around here is when Jalen Hurts gets the nod and goes in. It could be even sooner, but I do believe he will go in for Wentz this year. The Cowboys are a disaster right now, so it should be an easy win there. Washington is also 4-7 battling for the division, but looking at their schedule, they won’t be in the mix this late in the season. It’ll be a home game for pride at this point in the season, and maybe the Giants aren’t out of reach just yet, so the Eagles get a win hoping for some help.

Washington Football Team (4-7)

Thanksgiving Day: Washington Football Team vs Dallas Cowboys 3rd Quarter - Hogs Haven

@ Steelers LOSS

@ 49ers LOSS

VS Seattle LOSS

VS Panthers WIN

@ Eagles LOSS

Predicted Final Record: (5-11)

I like what River-Boat Ron is doing, and there is promise for this team in the future. Despite not having a name, the Football Team is not as bad as we thought they would be. A challenging end to the season doesn’t help them either. They get three consecutive losses against two contenders in Pittsburgh and Seattle and a loss to a 49ers team who’s still in the mix and getting healthier each week. The Panthers are a win for Washington in my eyes as it will be a little “revenge” game for River-Boat Ron against his former team, especially when it’s home for the Football Team. To round off Week 17, Washington travels to a determined Eagles team who is probably going to be battling for the division (given they do their part and New York doesn’t run away with it), so I think Washington loses here and finishes 5-11 with a decent spot in the 2021 draft to get more talent.

Now for me to forget about this for a few weeks and come back to see just how far off I will be… or will I be correct?
