The Denver Broncos need to make major changes if they want to have a winning record in 2023. The team looked lost offensively but showed improvement during their final two games with Jerry Rosburg serving as the interim head coach.
Denver’s new ownership needs to back up their words and show the fanbase that they want to win.
Hire Demeco Ryans as the next Head Coach
Ryans has a great personality, great leadership skills, and understands how to build a winning culture. The biggest doubt from fans stems from the fact that Ryans will be a first-time head coach.
But, if you compared him to Vic Fangio or Vance Joseph, Ryans is extremely impressive. He is also the top candidate to land a head coaching position this cycle.
Broncos Free Agency
Sign MLB Anthony Walker Jr to a 2-year, $9.6 million contract. Walker missed most of the season due to a torn quad tendon, but when healthy he would be a fantastic addition to the defense.
Sign RT Mike McGlinchey to a 3-year, $31.5 million contract. The Broncos haven’t had a long-term right tackle in years, and McGlinchey is exactly what they need. McGlinchey is having a good season with the 49ers and has stayed healthy.
Sign C Garrett Bradbury to a 2-year, $22.8 million contract. Lloyd Cushenberry has not been good enough where I can say that I’m confident in him being Denver’s franchise center. Bradbury would pair nicely with Meinerz.
Sign CB Sean Murphy-Bunting to a 4-year, $15.6 million contract. The Broncos need to move on from Ronald Darby, and while Damarri Mathis has done a good job, they need a more sustainable option. Murphy Bunting is an excellent option, who will not break the bank.
Sign DT Da’Ron Payne to a 3-year, $56.1 million contract. The Broncos pass rush was once again at the bottom of the league, and they need a playmaker on the defensive line.

I believe these moves are crucial and would play a huge part in the Broncos being contenders in 2023.

These selections would add depth to a shallow Broncos squad and help expand their threat level on both sides of the football.
This is my overall off-season blueprint for the Denver Broncos. They acquire the perfect head coach and depth at the positions they need most while addressing the offensive line which will lead to better play from Russell Wilson.
