Week 3 of the fantasy football season saw the top two picks in many leagues play a combined one quarter and some top players bounce back with top 10 performances. With another crazy week of fantasy in the books it’s time to see who were the biggest winners and loser of the week.
Winner: Cooper Kupp (WR – Rams)
Another monster day for the Rams wide receiver. Kupp brought it nine of twelve targets for 96 yards in addition to scoring his fourth and fifth touchdowns of the season. He has reaped the benefits from the quarterback change in Los Angeles. While his touchdown rate will most definitely decrease, there’s no reason he shouldn’t receive double digit targets on a regular basis.

Loser: Marquise Brown (WR – Ravens)
3 catches, 53 yards and 3 dropped touchdowns. Yes, you read that right three dropped touchdowns. Anyone that started Brown this week was probably screaming at their television all day because Brown has the potential for a fantastic day but laid a dud. Brown has had problems with drops in the past, so hopefully for fantasy owners this trend doesn’t continue.
Winner: Mike Williams (WR – Chargers)
Another fantastic afternoon for the Los Angeles receiver. Through three games Williams has outpaced his teammate Kennan Allen in receptions, yards and touchdowns and has emerged as Justin Herbert’s favorite target. In a pass heavy Charger’s offense, Williams is a must start for the foreseeable future.

Loser: Kyle Pitts (TE – Falcons)
Pitts, yet again, produced a disappointing stat line for the third week in a row. The Atlanta tight end came into the season with high expectations and has failed to meet them. Pitts is only seeing about five and a half targets per game which isn’t enough to produce at a top tight end level. Given his raw talent and the lack of consistent fantasy production from the position in general, Pitts is still worth the start, at least for now.

Winner: Josh Allen (QB – Bills)
Is Josh Allen back? Fantasy owners sure hope so. Allen accumulated five total touchdowns in a blowout win against Washington. After struggling in the first two games, Allen finally showed why he was the first quarterback taken in many leagues. With an easy schedule ahead of him, many more 30+ performances should be in store for the young star.
Loser: Amari Cooper (WR – Cowboys
Cooper owners such as myself needed Cooper to show up Monday night versus the Eagles but he disappointed for the second week in a row. After putting up nearly 40 fantasy points in Week 1, Cooper pulled in 3 catches for 24 and 3 catches for 26 in Weeks 2 and 3 respectively. CeeDee Lamb appears to have emerged as the top guy in Dallas which is concerning for anyone who used a high pick on Cooper.
More Winners:
Kareem Hunt (RB – Browns)
Saquon Barkley (RB – Giants)
Ja’Marr Chase (WR- Bengals)
Dalton Schultz (TE – Cowboys)
More Losers:
Tyreek Hill (WR – Chiefs)
Justin Fields (QB – Bears)
Damien Harris (RB – Patriots)
Miles Sanders (RB – Eagles)
