Week 13 Power Rankings
Power Rankings are back!
- Arizona Coyotes
Record: 7-23-3
Last Week: 32
The Coyotes may never move from this spot.
- Montreal Canadians
Record: 7-23-4
Last Week: 31
Not much to say about the Canadians, well, good things at least.
- Seattle Kraken
Record: 10-20-4
Last Week: 26
The Kraken simply have not been good when they have played, the keyword is when.
- Ottawa Senators
Record: 9-18-2
Last Week: 29
The Senators like many other teams have not played much the last two weeks, but also have not won.
- Buffalo Sabres
Record: 10-18-6
Last Week: 28
The Sabres are not only losing hockey games but also losing fans in the crowd, the sad scene in Buffalo.
- Chicago Blackhawks
Record: 12-18-5
Last week: 23
I was wrong last week, the Blackhawks will go away.
- New York Islanders
Record: 10-12-6
Last Week: 30
The Islanders get Trotz back and start winning games, redemption coming for the Islanders?
- Philadelphia Flyers
Record: 13-15-7
Last Week: 25
Things are not looking up for the Flyers.
- Columbus Blue Jackets
Record: 16-16-1
Last Week: 24
I think it is time to write off the Jackets, they have looked completely out of sync as of late.
- New Jersey Devils
Record: 14-17-5
Last Week: 27
Jack Hughes is playing like everyone thought Jack Hughes would play. He has been so good lately.
- Detroit Red Wings
Record: 16-16-4
Last Week: 21
They don’t like to give in to any game, but their talent seems to be lacking.
- San Jose Sharks
Record: 19-16-1
Last Week: 22
The Sharks finally cut ties with Evander Kane, and it does not seem to impact their play much, because they are hot.
- Vancouver Canucks
Record: 16-15-3
Last Week: 22
Bruce Boudreau still has not lost this season, BRUCE THEIR IT IS.
- Winnipeg Jets
Record: 16-12-5
Last Week: 19
The Jets are just simply an average team, it seems the Wild have given them the average curse.
- Los Angeles Kings
Record: 18-13-5
Last Week: 18
The Kings are a team that does not step away from any challenge, and they seem to keep finding ways to win games.
- Edmonton Oilers
Record: 18-14-2
Last Week: 14
The Oilers need goaltending and fast.
- Dallas Stars
Record: 17-13-2
Last Week: 16
The least consistent team in the NHL is exactly how to describe the Stars this year.
- Calgary Flames
Record: 17-10-6
Last Week: 15
They had momentum, and then Covid hit them.
- Boston Bruins
Record: 19-11-2
Last Week: 17
The Bruins have signed Tuuka Rask to a PTO, so he will most likely be a Bruin soon.
- Anaheim Ducks
Record 19-12-7
Last Week: 9
The Ducks are serious and good, and they should be treated as such.
- Minnesota Wild
Record: 21-10-2
Last Week: 7
The Wild are the unluckiest team in the league right now. Injury and injury after injury. They were without Spurgeon, Brodin, Kaprizov, Greenway, Talbot, and even more on Saturday against the Capitals, and still won. The question remains for the Wild, when will they get Kaprizov back?
- Pittsburgh Penguins
Record: 20-9-5
Last Week: 11
The Penguins seem to have another cup contender team this year.
- Toronto Maple Leafs
Record: 22-8-3
Last Week: 2
The Leafs are still good, but not playing many games the last two weeks hurts the team slightly. So down you go on this week’s Week 13 power rankings.
- St. Louis Blues
Record: 21-10-5
Last Week: 13
The Blues are good! Jordan Kyrou has been their MVP as of late. This streak brings them into the top 10 in this week’s Week 13 Power Rankings!
- Las Vegas Golden Knights
Record: 23-14-1
Last Week 8
Jack Eichel is going to start skating soon, so great news for the Knights.
- Nashville Predators
Record: 23-11-2
Last Week: 12
Hot, hot, hot, that is how the Predators have been.
- New York Rangers
Record: 23-10-4
Last Week: 6
I just can not move them from this spot. This team is so fun to watch and it shows their success as well.
- Colorado Avalanche
Record: 22-8-2
Last Week: 5
No losses in two weeks mean you stay in the top 5 of this Week 13 power rankings.
- Washington Capitals
Record: 20-8-9
Last Week: 4
Ovechkin update: 24 goals and 51 points in 36 games. The Caps lost to a depleted Wild team, but they have been good other than that.
- Tampa Bay Lighting
Record: 23-9-5
Last Week: 3
The Lighting gets two giant stars back in Point and Kucherov, so watch out NHL.
- Carolina Hurricanes
Record: 24-7-2
Last Week: 1
The Hurricanes are a very good team, obviously, but Covid has not been their friend, like so many teams.
- Florida Panthers
Record: 23-7-5
Last Week 10
Welcome back to the top my friend. The Panthers got healthy and are back on top.
