Week 24 Power Rankings
- Philadelphia Flyers
Record: 21-35-11
Last Week: 32
The Flyers lost their Captain who played 1K games with them, which is a hard pill to take, but I am going to leave them here at 32 on this Week 24 Power Rankings.
- Seattle Kraken

Last Week: 31
The Kraken will stay here and avoid being number 31 on this week’s 24 Power Rankings.
- Ottawa Senators
Record: 23-37-6
Last Week: 30
The Sens may have a chance at the number one pick, which could improve this very young talented team.
- New Jersey Devils
Record: 24-37-5
Last Week: 29
The Devils’ season has dropped all the way into the lottery pick, which I do not think fans are too happy about.
- San Jose Sharks

Last Week: 28
The Sharks extended Tomas Hertl which is a little confusing because of their situation.

The Ducks have officially become sellers at this time in the year.
- Chicago Blackhawks

Last week: 26
The Blackhawks now are having some issues in the locker room after the trade of Hagel.
- Buffalo Sabres
Record: 24-33-10
Last Week: 25
The Sabres will not make the playoffs but they are playing very good hockey as of late, so some encouragement before the season end.
- Arizona Coyotes
Record: 20-41-5
Last Week: 27
The Coyotes have now been eliminated from playoff contention. Oh, and they will be playing in a tiny rink soon. YIKES

The Canucks turned their season around, but the question has to be asked, do they have enough to make the playoffs? I don’t think so.

Wait, Mat Barzal still plays for the Islanders? Yeah, I forgot about him too.

Last Week 18
The Golden Knights really, no seriously, look like they may miss the playoffs this year.

The Jets have caught fire, especially from upfront. Kyle Connor has been one of the hottest players the last few weeks.

Last Week: 15
Roman Josi is just amazing, that’s it.

Last Week:11
The Stars are just such an inconstant team, and if that is not fixed soon, they will be first-round knock-outs.
- Los Angeles Kings
Record: 36-23-9
Last Week: 11
The Kings do not have reliable and consistent goaltending due, but the team has a lot of talent upfront so that will be relied on much more coming into the playoffs.
- St. Louis Blues
Record: 36-20-9
Last Week: 12
The Blues have a better team than last year going into the playoffs, but the question remains if it will be enough.

Last Week: 10
The Leafs still have a lot of concern about their goaltending, and time is running out.
- Minnesota Wild
Record: 41-20-4
Last Week: 13
The Wild are hot, again. The addition of Fleury seems to have lit a fire under Cam Talbot as he just finished a week that earned him a star of the week award. The Wild like to take their wins in packs, as they lead the league in wins that come in 6-packs.

Last Week: 4
The Hurricanes had a frustrating week, and after a disappointing deadline, the concern may be creeping in.

The Lightning was busy during the deadline and it seems to be working, although they didn’t really need the help, to begin with.
- New York Rangers
Record: 43-19-5
Last Week: 5
The Rangers like to make things difficult on themselves, but as long as Igor plays like himself, they will always have a chance.

The Penguins are getting help from every area on the ice, this includes their solid depth on the blue line.

- Calgary Flames
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNsXpU0lEuc
Record: 40-18-8
Last Week: 2
The Flames may have the angriest goalie in the league with Jacob Markstrom, who took a swing at the entire Sharks team.
- Colorado Avalanche
Record: 47-14-6
Last Week: 3
The Avalanche look like they will lose their star forward Nate MacKinnon for a while due to an injured hand from fighting.
- Florida Panthers
Record: 45-15-6
Last Week 1
The Panthers have maybe the most lethal forward groups in the league. The Panthers are well on their way to a deep playoff run.
