Kickers Korner Week 1 is here, and what a week it was for the kickers.
32- Austin Seibert, Detroit Lions
Seibert made 49 yarder and missed one from 50. That’s how it’ll be with Seibert.
31- Randy Bullock, Tennesee Titans
Bullock takes over for Michael Badgely and is sure to rise up this list.
30- Ka’imi Fairbairn, Houston Texans
Joey Slye went crazy on Sunday, but Houston is going back to Fairbairn for some reason.
29- Matt Ammendola, New York Jets
Ammendola didn’t get an extra point or a field goal attempt in Carolina. Ammendola did try his hand at punting and was great.
28- Dominik Eberle, Carolina Panthers
Following Ryan Santoso’s surprising cut, Eberle is the only kicker in the Panthers facility.
27- Josh Lambo, Jacksonville Jaguars
Lambo didn’t make a field goal Sunday but did connect on three extra points.
26- Chase McLaughlin, Cleveland Browns
25- Jake Elliott, Philadelphia Eagles
Elliot connected from 49 and added three extra points in a quiet opening game for him.
24- Greg Joseph, Minnesota Vikings
Joseph hit a 53-yard field goal at the buzzer to send the Vikings to overtime. Joseph didn’t get to have an overtime attempt, but making the clutch kick at the end of regulation, should lead to a good season.
23- Quinn Nordin, New England Patriots
Nordin didn’t play Sunday, but reports are he’s expected to make his debut this week.
22- Graham Gano, New York Giants
Gano didn’t get into a rhythm like so many other Giants in Week 1.
21- Cairo Santos, Chicago Bears
The Bears offense didn’t do much in SoFi Stadium, so Santos’ attempts were non existent, only getting to trot out there for two extra points.
20- Aldrick Rosas, New Orleans Saints
Jameis Winston kept Rosas busy in their makeshift Jacksonville home. Rosas went 5-5 on PAT’s and hit his one field goal.
19- Brandon McManus, Denver Broncos
With Teddy Two Gloves under center, McManus should be busy all season like he was last week at MetLife.
18- Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks
Myers went 4-4 on PAT’s, Myers will get his first field goal attempt this week, and certainly convert.
17- Tristan Viscaino, Los Angeles Chargers
Viscaino didn’t have to stress too hard. Viscaino hit a couple of chip-shot field goals and connected on both extra points.
16- Dustin Hopkins, Washington Football Team
Hopkins missed from 51, but other than that Hopkins’ kicks were as wet as the water gushing through FedEx Field.
15- Jason Sanders, Miami Dolphins
Sanders made a 48-yard field goal and had two extra points on Sunday. Sanders had a third of Miami’s points and will look to build on this.
14- Matt Prater, Arizona Cardinals
Prater had almost the same game as Rosas, only difference was Prater missed one field goal. With Arizona potentially having a top-tier offense, Prater may be one of the most used kickers this year.
13- Ryan Succop, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rayn Succop hit a game-winning 36-yard field goal on Thursday, what a great end to that game.
12- Robbie Gould, San Francisco 49ers
Gould was gold on Sunday. Gould hit from 52 and had 5 extra points in a close one against Detroit.
11- Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers
Crosby was the only player to score for the Packers against the Saints. There’s something about Mason Crosby and Monday Night Football though, Crosby will have a great Monday night.
10- Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals
Swaggy E balled on Sunday and won AFC Special Teams Player Of The Week. The Evan McPherson elite campaign starts now. McPherson will be a Kickers Korner sweetheart by season’s end.
9- Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers
Boswell went 5-5 on his kicks in Buffalo, proving why he’s one of the NFL’s most reliable kickers.
8- Greg Zuerlein, Dallas Cowboys
Week one was a forgettable one for Zuerlein. Zuerlein’s two misses hurt Dallas, but I expect a bounceback.
7- Tyler Bass, Buffalo Bills
Tyler Bass was right there against Boswell on Sunday. Bass converted from 25, 37, and 42. The Buffalo Bills have a kicking star in the making.
6- Rodrigo Blankenship, Indianapolis Colts
I’ve been told I should be the Rodfather for Halloween, the pleasure would be all mine. With a showdown against Matt Gay and the Rams looming, this is a matchup I’ll be watching.
5- Daniel Carlson, Las Vegas Raiders
Carlson was one of five kickers to make a field goal of fifty yards or more. None were more important than his kick to send the Raiders- Ravens game to overtime.
4- Younghoe Koo, Atlanta Falcons
Atlants was terrible this past week. Younghoe wasn’t, that’s how it goes in the ATL.
3- Matt Gay, Los Angeles Rams
Like every player on offense for the Rams, Matt Gay was perfect on Sunday Night Football.
2- Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens
JTuck made a 40 and 47-yard field goal Sunday and added three extra points against the Raiders. The JTuck revenge tour rolls on.
1- Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs
Butker, Tucker, Sunday Night Football. That’s the matchup battle we’ll all be watching.
Kickers Korner Week 2 starts soon, lets see if Butker keeps the krown.
