Week 5 would have been a real depressing Kickers Korner to write. Luckily with The Sports Wave 2.0 website, I was able to keep the sadness internalized.
32- Greg Zuerlein, Dallas Cowboys
Zuerlein is really not pulling his weight for this electrifying Dallas Cowboys team.
31- Greg Joseph, Minnesota Vikings
I believe in Greg Joseph, and he lets me down. The Vikings play in too many one-possession games for Joseph to be less than great on all attempts.
30- Austin Seibert, Detroit Lions
The kicker position being in shambles is the only way Seibert could move up the list.
29- Ka’imi Fairbairn, Houston Texans
28- Chris Blewitt, Washington Football Team
27- Matt Ammendola, New York Jets
Lots Of New People
26- Riley Patterson, New England Patriots
Another kicker for the Patriots who isn’t Quinn Nordin, sigh.
25- Zane Gonzalez, Carolina Panthers
24- Brian Johnson, New Orleans Saints
Andrew Tolva and Garrett Cowdrey, when is Wil Lutz coming back? The NFL needs him.
23- Michael Badgley, Indianapolis Colts
I was high on Badgley in the preseason, when he got cut I was shocked. Since then, it’s started to make sense to me.
22- Joey Slye, San Francisco 49ers
21- Jake Elliott, Philadelphia Eagles
20- Cairo Santos, Chicago Bears
19- Chase McLaughlin, Cleveland Browns
18- Matthew Wright, Jacksonville Jaguars
Matty Dub hit two bombs across the pond, doing his best Harry Kane impression. Then he comes back to the states, and gets hit with that “random drug test.” Sorry for sleeping on you Matthew.
17- Jason Sanders, Miami Dolphins
Sanders hasn’t done a ton this season despite the new contract. Maybe Tua will feel the pressure and get Sanders some opportunities in Week 7?
16- Randy Bullock, Tennessee Titans
15- Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks
14- Brandon McManus, Denver Broncos
13- Tristan Viscaino, Los Angeles Chargers
12- Ryan Succop, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
11- Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers
Top 10
10- Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers
9- Graham Gano, New York Giants
8- Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals
Swaggy E and JTuck for the first time this Sunday at 1 PM. This is a huge matchup for the rookie.
7- Matt Prater, Arizona Cardinals
6- Daniel Carlson, Las Vegas Raiders
5- Tyler Bass, Buffalo Bills
There’s been a lot of floundering at the kicking position this year. See what I did there, floundering, and his name is Bass. I’ll be writing here all season. Anyways, Tyler Bass has been one of the most reliable. Maybe McDermott should have trotted him out there Monday Night.
4- Younghoo Koe, Atlanta Falcons
3- Matt Gay, Los Angeles Rams
2- Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs
1- Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens
When all others can’t answer the bell, Tucker shows why he’s the best in the world.
It’s good to be back. Hopefully, the kickers feel the same way. See you next week for Week 7 Kickers Korner.
