Kickers Korner Week 8 is here, and before we get into it, I have a special shoutout. University of Michigan kicker, Jake Moody is an honorary member of Kickers Korner this week. Moody had a great game last Saturday and will be on this list next season.
Here we go
32-Chris Blewitt, Washington Football Team
Riverboat Ron said no kickers would be brought in during the bye week, that’s a decision he’ll live to regret.
31- Greg Zuerlein, Dallas Cowboys
I’m convinced someone is paying Greg Zuerlein to miss kicks. It’s either that, or he is the only Cowboy that doesn’t want to win.
30- Greg Joseph, Minnesota Vikings
29- Jason Sanders, Miami Dolphins
Jason Sanders has missed a kick each of the last three games and hasn’t shown anything to make you believe he’s going to break out of the slump.
28- Austin Seibert, Detroit Lions
27- Ka’imi Fairbairn, Houston Texans
26- Matt Ammendola, New York Jets
25- Dustin Hopkins, Los Angeles Chargers
Hit or Miss
24- Kyle Shanahan hasn’t signed anyone, San Fransisco 49ers
Joey Slye was doing pretty well, and they cut him. I’m pretty sure the 49ers know they need to sign someone, so I’ll let them use this as a reminder.
23- Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks
22- Jake Elliott, Philadelphia Eagles
21- Michael Badgley, Indianapolis Colts
20- Zane Gonzalez, Carolina Panthers
Gonzalez has been really good since mid-October. In these four games, Gonzalez made ten field goals, hit every extra point, and threw in a forty-yard punt.
19- Matthew Wright, Jacksonville Jaguars
18- Ryan Succop, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Ryan Succop is just here to finish Tom Brady touchdown passes with an extra point.
17- Brian Johnson, New Orleans Saints
BJ has been one of the saving graces for the kicking position and New Orleans Saints. Back-to-back game-winners for the rookie, and with no Wil Lutz, it’s Johnson’s spot to lose.
16- Cairo Santos, Chicago Bears
15- Chase McLaughlin, Cleveland Browns
Amongst all the talk about the underperforming offense in Cleveland, McLaughlin is having a great season. The extra point total isn’t crazy, but he’s making his field goals.
14- Brandon McManus, Denver Broncos
13- Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers
I hope Chris Boswell is feeling better. That’s all.
12- Randy Bullock, Tennessee Titans
11- Nick Folk, New England Patriots
Nick Folk seizes every opportunity he’s gotten this season, and you have to admire it. When the season started he wasn’t even on the team, now he’s one of the busiest kickers in the game.
Kickers Korner Top 10
10- Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers
9- Matt Prater, Arizona Cardinals
The desert loves Matt Prater, and Matt Prater loves kicking for that desert offense. Of the top twenty-five fantasy kickers this year, Prater is the only one not to make a field goal from 40-49 yards.
8- Daniel Carlson, Las Vegas Raiders
7- Younghoo Koe, Atlanta Falcons
Koe has done well since his bye, he’s made five field goals in those two weeks. Just the overall production you’d hope for hasn’t been there in 2021.
6- Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals
Zac Taylor took the ball of Swaggy E’s foot last Sunday and went for it on fourth and goal. Guess what, the Bengals lost by 3. Don’t do that again Zac Taylor.
5- Graham Gano, New York Giants
Gano is tied with Greg Joseph for the most 50 plus yard field goals this season. Gano has also been super reliable and is getting opportunities from everywhere.
4- Matt Gay, Los Angeles Rams
3-Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs
With Patrick Mahomes playing like a human, the Buttkicker hasn’t gotten his shine. Still very reliable, just seen less.
2- Tyler Bass, Buffalo Bills
If Justin Tucker ever missed, Bass would be the top dog in Kickers Korner. Tyler Bass to me embodies the Buffalo Bills franchise. You have the second-best kicker in the world Bills Mafia, enjoy him. Also, congrats on the AFC Special Teams Player of The Month, TBass.
1- Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens
