A Pro Bowl selection is one of the premier honors a NFL player can receive. One of the first goals of young studs coming into the league is to make a Pro Bowl roster. Considering how limited the spots on each team are, it is hard to beat out established veterans for these coveted roster positions, however this doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Let’s take a look at three talented men who could earn their first Pro Bowl selection with an impressive showing in 2021.
WR Darnell Mooney- Chicago Bears
The former Tulane standout burst onto the scene as a rookie last year for the Chicago Bears. Even though inconsistent at the quarterback position, the 2020 fifth-rounder shined and became the perfect complement to Allen Robinson. Mooney has game-changing speed and proved that he can make difficult catches in tight coverage. I think Mooney can thrive with the improved accuracy and arm strength of Dalton and Fields and we could see a young Calvin Ridley in the Windy City.
CB C.J. Henderson- Jacksonville Jaguars
I am a huge fan of C.J. Henderson and the games we saw him play in before his injury was truly impressive for a rookie. Henderson reminds me a lot of Marshon Lattimore in the way that he plays physical press-man coverage and always has his eyes on the ball. This is a young and talented Jaguars team that has the coaching staff to take a step this year and one of the keys to their defensive success should be Henderson. Look for a big year and a potential Pro Bowl selection from the former Florida Gator.
RB Miles Sanders- Philadelphia Eagles
One of the most polarizing players in the league is Eagles running back Miles Sanders. Penn State is known for producing studs at half-back and Sanders is no exception. Having someone who can cut up defenses through the air and the ground changes how defenses operate and the dynamic of an offense as a whole. If Sanders can step up with new head coach Nick Sirianni in town we could see him lock down a spot as a 2021 Pro Bowler.
