TNF Injury Report Week 15

TNF Injury Report Week 15

Thursday Dec. 16th @ 7:20 pm CT

Kansas City Chiefs (9-4) @ Los Angeles Chargers (8-5)

Kansas City Chiefs: OUT CB L’Jarius Sneed (personal), LB Willie Gay (COVID); QUESTIONABLE     DT Chris Jones (COVID), WR Josh Gordon (COVID), OG Andrew Wylie (knee)

CB L’Jarius Snead will be missing Thursday night’s game due to the sudden death of his brother, and LB Willie Gay was placed on the COVID-19 list on Wednesday causing him to be ruled out for Thursday’s game. OG Andrew Wylie was a full participant in practice all week but is listed as questionable making me believe that he’ll be a game time decision. WR Josh Gordon and star DT Chris Jones were both placed on the COVID-19 list earlier in the week and seems unlikely they’ll suit up for Thursday’s game, Jones’ impact will surely be missed if he is out as the Chiefs defense will be attempting to pressure and slow down Justin Herbert.

Los Angeles Chargers: OUT OT Rashawn Slater (COVID); QUESTIONABLE RB Austin Ekeler (ankle), S Derwin James (hamstring), S Alohi Gilma (quad), CB Asante Samuel Jr. (concussion)

On Wednesday Chargers coach Brandon Staley said that OT Rashawn Slater will be missing Thursday’s game with an illness which is a huge blow for the Chargers offense as the Chiefs will attempt to put pressure on Herbert. Ekeler although being listed as questionable is expected to play, 3 starters in the Chargers secondary are listed as questionable but were full participants all week so they as well are expected to play in Thursday’s game.

The massive amount of positive COVID tests in the NFL this week will affect many teams and its showed on Thursday’s game, as both teams will be missing a star player due to COVID. I predict the Chiefs win this game 31-28 in a last second field goal moving the chiefs up to 10-4.
